MailPress allows you to send any e-mail notification issued for comments subscribers, your periodic newsletters (per post/daily/weekly/monthly) and some specific admin events : registration of a new user, comment to moderate, new comment on your posts in styled html or plain text mails based on dedicated themes and templates.

Several add-ons are available as zip files in the mailpress folder. They are in fact WordPress plugins interacting with MailPress. The basic idea is to keep the core of MailPress as stable as possible and to use the WordPress API to propose some add-ons, making MailPress completely scalable to your needs.

Subscriber2 provides a comprehensive subscription management system for your WordPress blogs. It provides two levels of subscription:

• Registered Subscribers
• Public Subscribers

Administators have several management functions including configuration of the email templates used for new post notifications and (un)subscription requests. Administrators can also subscribe or unsubscribe users, as well as send out an email to all confirmed subscribers.

Version 4.11 of the Plugin is now available for download.

Version 4.11 is for 2.6.x users. (Although it should work with WordPress 2.5 and hopefully 2.7 too!) This version has been tested on WordPress 2.6.2, 2.7-almost-beta and WordPress MU 2.6.2.

Users of WordPress 2.0.x should download Version 2.22 of Subscribe2. Users of WordPress 2.1.x and 2.2.x should download Version 3.8.
