Slick là một chương trình chat miễn phí khá tốt, giao diện dễ sử dụng, hỗ trợ nhiều tính năng, không hề thua kém những ứng dụng "messenger" trên PC.

Mới đây, hãng Lonely Cat Games đã cho ra phiên bản mới nhất của Slick, bản 0.46 với cải tiến: sửa lỗi ICQ/AIM về việc gửi các tin nhắn rỗng và tương thích với cả dòng S60 cảm ứng (N5800).

Các tính năng chính:

• Hỗ trợ các dịch vụ: ICQ, Yahoo, AIM, MSN, Google Talk, Jabber
• Là trình nhắn tin bằng văn bản
• Hỗ trợ mặt cười (emoticons)
• Thông báo khi có tin nhắn mới bằng âm thanh, đèn nền, rung, kèm số tin nhắn đã nhận được
• Có thể quản lý nhóm hoặc tài khoản cá nhân (thêm, xóa, sửa tên)
• Có thể lưu lại lịch sử tin nhắn
• Hỗ trợ gửi và nhận file khi chat
• Có thể nhận và gửi tin nhắn offline

Many exciting features are available:

• open OpenDocument text(.odt), spreadsheet(.ods) and presentation(.odp)
• open OpenDocument files directly from email attachments, MMS, Bluetooth, filebrowser as well as webbrowser
• view thumbnail image
• get information about subject, title, keywords and other meta information
• get statistics about paragraph count, words and pages
• zoom and fullscreen
• search
• view of changes

Lots of formatting is also supported:

• all text and highlighting colors
• bold and italic
• underline as well as crossing lines
• upper and lower text
• left, right and center alignment
• left and right margins
• bullets and numbering
• embedded images
• paragraph bordering
• full support for footnotes (show them by pressing ok/enter button, if there are more then one, use the arrow keys to scroll)

This mod intended to play Flash contents on Opera Mobile on SE UIQ3 smartphones.

Tested on: P1i (R6G04/R9K009/GW1), P990i (R9GA001/R6E28), M600i, W950i, W960i
Note: G700/G900 smartphones with last firmware already have FlashPlugin.

Installation: (taken from swmail's readme):

• Install CapsSwitch and SIS installer mod for Symbian 9.1
• Download archive with the program from http://www.agathosyne.de/files_ext/FlashPlugin.zip
• Install FlashPlugin.

Now you can play flash from your smartphone's by using Opera opens link like 'd:/myflash/flash.swf' but before opening, you must do the following:

• Start Opera
• Go to More >> Settings >> Configuration >> and tick "Allow Plugins"

Enjoy Flash support! And if you like SWMail's work, you can donate to encourage him to continue

PS: after testing on my P1i, I realize that this mod could make the phone play swf files only with small size (less than 2MB), if you play a larger files, the quality will not be very smooth.

It performs a great job of capturing the screen - however it's still in the beta stage. The image file format cannot be changed (must be PNG), so keep that in mind when using the app. Don't be too surprised if the app does act up when you want to take a screenshot of a game or something (It never acted up on me when I've been using it though).

This is an open-source game so if you are a developer and find that the AI is a bit 'lacking', or "stupid" as most people put it, you can contribute to the game algorithm.

The game comes with 2 modes, you can play against the AI-GnuGo or play against another human opponent. Note that there is no wireless play, so you will have to cope with the more primitive method of sharing the phone as you play.

mShell

The image on the right shows the screen when running mVNC, an application built using mShell. It's a software that allows the display of the phone's screen on a VNC viewer on the PC, so the phone can be completely controlled from your computer. The app also offers file synchronisation abilities, so scripts can be edited, tested, and executed on your computer before being downloaded to your phone.

If you like to program for your UIQ3 phone, I think mShell and mVNC is the good choice.
