What is Browsershots?
Browsershots is a free open-source online service created by Johann C. Rocholl. It can take screenshots of your websites/blogs in different browsers to help you check if your websites/blogs show up correctly on them.

How does Browsershots do?
It's quite simple. When you submit your site address, it will be added to a job queue. A number of distributed computers will open your site in their browsers then they will take screenshots and upload them to the central server where you can view them.

Currently Browsershots can make the test with many browsers on four Operating Systems (Linux, Windows, Mac OS and BSD). Besides that you can choose options about screenshot size, color depth, javascript, java and flash for many kind of testing.

This is a great tool for web designers who otherwise have to pay for paid services to check their designs on different browsers. So check it now at browsershots.org.

For the first time ever, it is now possible to read your OpenDocument files from OpenOffice.org, KOffice, AbiWord and Lotus Symphony on your Symbian Smartphone using Open Source software

Many exciting features are available:

open OpenDocument text(.odt), spreadsheet(.ods) and presentation(.odp)
open OpenDocument files directly from email attachments, MMS, Bluetooth, filebrowser as well as webbrowser
view thumbnail image
get information about subject, title, keywords and other meta information
get statistics about paragraph count, words and pages

Lots of formatting is also supported:

all text and highlighting colors
bold and italic
underline as well as crossing lines

Screen Capture Utility for UIQ 3.x

If you want to capture screen shots, seeing that there was no built-in utility to do that on the phone, I recommend you to use The Open Screen Capture. This app was developed by Space Software Studio. It allows users to choose between 0 sec, 10 sec and 30 sec delay. The screenshots are saved in PNG format (smaller file size than BMP) on the memory card.

It performs a great job of capturing the screen - however it's still in the beta stage. The image file format cannot be changed (must be PNG), so keep that in mind when using the app. Don't be too surprised if the app does act up when you want to take a screenshot of a game or something (It never acted up on me when I've been using it though).

GNU Go – Game for UIQ3

GNU Go, developed by the excellent SomeOne / AnotherGuest (who also ported Lemmings over to UIQ 3.0)

This is an open-source game so if you are a developer and find that the AI is a bit 'lacking', or "stupid" as most people put it, you can contribute to the game algorithm.

The game comes with 2 modes, you can play against the AI-GnuGo or play against another human opponent. Note that there is no wireless play, so you will have to cope with the more primitive method of sharing the phone as you play.
